Accompanying caption in scrapbook reads: “Our “dish of corn” written originally for the hospitalized soldiers at Camp Shelby. It was later sent overseas and to training camps on the mainland. V-mail from PFC George Higa, Sept 1944; V-mail from Sgt Frank (last name indecipherable).
