Patay kang bata ka!: A concert in protest of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant

Poster title - Patay kang bata ka A concert in protest of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant

This concert, organized by the Children’s Committee of the militant feminist organization GABRIELA, protested the construction of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant in 1984. Protests against the plant cited the dangers of nuclear energy (including the then-recent Chernobyl disaster) as well as Marcos’s political and financial collaborations with multinational corporations that damaged the political economy of towns across the Philippines. This poster points to the harmful effects that the plant would have on children.
