Poster title - Free Mila D Aguilar Free All Women Political Detainees

Mila Aguilar is a poet and activist. She was arrested in 1984 by the Marcos government for subversion and conspiracy. She was placed in solitary confinement and interrogated for three days without legal counsel. While a civil court ordered her release, she was kept in detainment under the Preventive Detention Act, which allows the military to circumvent civilian court rulings. The Committee to Free Mila Aguilar was a transnational organization formed in both Manila and Cambridge.
