Bayan: Ang tao ang bayan ngayon ay lumalaban!

Poster title - Bayan Ang tao ang bayan ngayon ay lumalaban

The poster reads: the people of the nation are now fighting back. BAYAN traces its origins to the mid-1960s with the formation of the National Democratic Movement. This movement opposed imperialism, bureaucrat capitalism, and feudalism in Philippine society and strengthened after the declaration of martial law. The Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (New Patriotic Alliance) officially formed in 1985 and brought together a multitude of organizations. Bayan became the coordinating center for open mass mobilizations against the dictatorship.
