Letter Addressed to Mrs. Nakahara, August 30, 1945

Yuri writes to her mother about sending her items and asks whether she should send it to their San Pedro home. On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. Three days later, a secondary atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, Japan. Thereafter, Japan surrenders the war on August 14, 1945.
