Asian Americans for Equal Employment demonstration flyer on job discrimination of Asian construction workers by DeMatteis Corp. There was community frustration and anger during the Confucius Plaza construction site in Manhattan's Chinatown for the refusal to hire Asian contruction workers. On May 16, 1974, 250 protesters demonstrated at the construction site in result stopping construction work. Weeks following, the DeMatteis Corporation hired 27 workers of colors.
