Flyer regarding a memorium for Nguyen Thai Binh. Sponsored by Asian Coalition and Vietnamese Students. Nguyen Thai Binh (also known as Viet Thai Binh) was a South Vietnamese student who attended the University of Washington on a U.S. A.I.D. scholarship. Because of anti-war activism, his scholarship was revoked. On July 2, 1972, Nguyen Thai Binh hijacked the Boeing 747 during its flight to Saigon, Vietnam. He was shot and killed by a retired police officer on the plane.
